Phase I: 2000–2002

In Phase I of the UEY project, we collected information from kindergarten teachers and parents and their children. These data included information about how the children living in the Dixie Bloor community were doing in terms of:

  • physical health and well-being
  • social competence
  • emotional maturity
  • language and cognitive development
  • communication skills and general knowledge

We also prepared an inventory of all available services and programs for children in the Dixie Bloor community.

Phase II: 2003–2005

In Phase II, we are sharing the data we collected in Phase I with organizations and community groups, and working with the community to take action. We are also collecting more data and continuing to conduct research.
