A number of news releases and publications have been issued as part of the UEY project. One of the key components of the project is to communicate research findings and needed action to the community. This section contains brief summaries of these items and links to them.

APEX Grand Prize for Publication Excellence were awarded to the Understanding the Early Years reports!

In 2004, the UEY Community Mapping Study, Readiness to Learn-Early Development Instrument report, and the UEY Brochure was awarded the Grand Prize in the APEX Awards for Publication Excellence. An APEX judge writes:

"Its depth of research and clarity of written and illustrated findings are what set this special report apart from the crowd. Exceptionally well-done."
